Project Activities
1. Project Management – Project Coordination and Management
Effective project management formed the foundation for the smooth implementation of the Sustainable Future – Sus-Fut project. The Project Management activity was designed to ensure that all actions, from the development of the training programme and the delivery of training to the creation of the Green Skills Manual, the online platform, job placements and dissemination activities, were implemented consistently, to a high standard and in line with Erasmus+ objectives.
Project coordination was based on a clear timetable, defined allocation of responsibilities, continuous monitoring of progress and regular communication between the two partners, AK Anaglyfo Consulting Ltd and the Research Laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability – ReSEES of the Athens University of Economics and Business. Particular emphasis was placed on monitoring the quality of results, financial management, risk management and the timely handling of any possible deviations.
A Steering Committee with representatives from both organisations supported the management of the project. The partners cooperated through regular online meetings and transnational working meetings, during which progress, quality, financial management, risks and preparation of upcoming activities were reviewed. These meetings were directly linked to critical stages of the project, such as the development of the training programme, the use of participant feedback, the preparation of the Manual and Online Learning Platform, and the implementation of internships.
Digital tools such as OneDrive, Trello, Zoom and electronic communication were used for cooperation and monitoring, while also reducing the need for printed materials and unnecessary travel. This approach supported not only project efficiency but also its environmental character.
2. Green Skills Training – Training in Green Skills
The Green Skills Training Programme formed the main educational core of Sus-Fut. It was designed to equip 80 young people aged 18–30, particularly individuals facing social, economic, educational or geographical barriers, with practical green skills that can be used in the emerging green and circular economy.
The training content focused on key areas such as sustainability, renewable energy, waste management, sustainable and eco-friendly practices, green business models, digital skills and entrepreneurship. The training was not limited to theoretical knowledge. Non-formal and experiential learning methods were used, including workshops, group activities, role-playing, peer discussions, problem-solving and the development of real sustainability-related ideas.
Particular importance was placed on practical application. Participants were encouraged to examine real environmental and professional challenges and to develop solutions that could be applied in businesses, organisations, communities and everyday life.
The training was designed using a blended approach, combining face-to-face and digital learning. Participants could access training materials and exercises online and revisit the content at their own pace. The use of digital resources increased accessibility for young people living in remote areas or facing difficulties in participating in conventional training.
Through the training, the project aimed to reduce the gap between young people’s existing skills and the skills required by the labour market, while strengthening confidence, initiative, teamwork and readiness for employment in green sectors.
3. Green Skills Manual
The Green Skills Manual – Sustainable Future: Green Skills for the Circular Economy is one of the project’s main educational outputs and was created as a tool for continuous learning and practical application of the knowledge gained through the training programme.
The content of the Manual is based on the Green Skills Training curriculum and covers topics such as sustainability, the circular economy, sustainable practices, renewable energy, waste management and green business models. At the same time, it provides examples of how green skills can be applied in real professional environments and in sectors such as agriculture, waste management and production activities.
The Manual was designed as a practical guide and not merely as theoretical training material. It includes instructions, real-life examples, case studies, exercises, tools, templates and step-by-step guidance. In this way, users can turn the knowledge they acquire into concrete actions and use the material as a reference point in employment, training or the development of a green business idea.
The development of the content combined the research expertise of ReSEES with Anaglyfo’s practical experience in vocational education and training. The aim was to create material that is academically grounded while at the same time practical, understandable and user-friendly.
The Manual is digital and available through the Online Learning Platform, while it can also be downloaded for offline use. According to the project evaluation framework, it was planned as an extensive educational output with a target of at least 120 pages, availability in Greek and English, at least 200 downloads and a user satisfaction level above 85%.
4. Online Learning Platform
The Online Learning Platform was created to serve as the central digital learning space and access point for the results of Sus-Fut. The platform complements face-to-face training and ensures that access to knowledge does not end when the seminars are completed, but continues on a long-term basis.
The platform brings together training material related to green skills, sustainability and circular economy principles. It provides access to learning modules, guides, case studies, examples of good practice, tools, exercises, quizzes, downloadable resources and supporting content that helps users apply their knowledge in real-life situations.
One of the platform’s key objectives is self-directed learning. Users can access the content at any time and follow their own learning pace. The material was organised to support both participants in the original training and new users, trainers, mentors, businesses and other interested stakeholders.
Particular emphasis was placed on accessibility. The platform was designed with simple navigation, clear language, visual elements, multilingual content and the option to download learning resources for use without a continuous internet connection. In this way, barriers related to geographical isolation, digital competence, language or limited internet access are addressed.
The approved proposal foresaw the use of LMS, together with functions such as quizzes, feedback forms and discussion forums. Monitoring of use and engagement through analytics, feedback collection and ongoing technical support were also foreseen. The project target was for the platform and its resources to reach approximately 2,000 unique users/visitors, creating a permanent digital repository of knowledge on green skills.

5. Job Positioning and Internships – Job Placements and Internships
The Job Positioning and Internships activity was designed to create a direct link between training and the real labour market. Through this activity, selected participants were given the opportunity to transfer the green skills acquired during the training programme into real professional environments.
The proposal foresaw the participation of 8 young people in total, four in Cyprus and four in Greece, in job positions or internships related to the green economy and circular economy. Placements were intended to take place in businesses and organisations active in sectors such as sustainability, waste management, renewable energy and sustainable resource management.
The process went beyond simply connecting a participant with an employer. The partners supported the preparation of young people for entering the workplace through orientation sessions covering CV preparation and interview skills, corporate culture, Occupational Health and Safety, basic employment and legal issues, and workplace expectations.
At the same time, participants’ skills and interests were matched with the needs of businesses, while continuous monitoring and mentoring were foreseen throughout the placements.
The activity aimed to strengthen participants’ CVs, develop professional contacts and networks, increase confidence and job readiness, and above all reduce the gap between theoretical training and real work experience. The proposal set a target for at least 70% of participants to report improved employability through the combination of training and professional experience.
6. Dissemination of Results – Dissemination, Exploitation and Promotion of Project Results
The dissemination of results was a horizontal and strategic activity of Sus-Fut. Its purpose was to ensure that project results would not remain limited to the direct participants, but would reach a wider audience of young people, trainers, youth workers, educational organisations, businesses, local communities, policymakers and other interested organisations.
Within this activity, a common visual identity and project logo were created, together with digital communication materials such as flyers, infographics, information material and social media content. The project’s social media presence was designed to present news, activities, results, participant stories and educational resources, helping to build a wider community around green skills and the circular economy.
An important part of dissemination was the organisation of multiplier events in Cyprus and Greece, including presentations, forums, group discussions and the exchange of good practices. These events created opportunities for dialogue among participants, trainers, employers, educational bodies and other stakeholders.
The project’s main results, such as the Green Skills Manual and the Online Learning Platform, were designed to remain freely available and continue to be used after the end of the project. At the same time, the proposal foresaw dissemination through European tools and platforms such as EPALE and other relevant Erasmus+ platforms.
The activity also included systematic collection of feedback from participants and stakeholders. Feedback was not treated only as an evaluation tool, but also as a mechanism for the continuous improvement of training material, the platform and project methodologies.
The approved indicators included targets such as 500 participants in multiplier events, 100 social media posts, 1,000 social media interactions, involvement of at least 30 organisations, and a stakeholder satisfaction and engagement level above 85%. In this way, dissemination was directly connected with the sustainability and long-term exploitation of the Sus-Fut results.
